A Bright Light In The Darkness

As I sit down to write these words, I can’t help but be grateful for you and the many lives you save through your gifts to New Day. I’m in awe, as I witness your resolve to be a bright light in the darkness, and you consistently combat the evil of sex trafficking with good! Since November ‘22, NDC has seen a significant increase in calls from desperate parents and programs in need of a safe place for a sexually exploited child. In response, you’re supporting restorative care for twice as many girls as we were this time last year. Light in the darkness! Trafficking causes a spirit of poverty ~ poverty of her thinking, her self-worth, and her dreams. It robs her of the opportunity to take her rightful place in our society as a healthy and productive adult. But you are her beacon of light as you pave the way out of darkness.

You light the way to a safe place so she can heal from her trauma. You give the light of therapy to heal her heart. Your light shines bright through education so she can begin to dream. Your light brings peace with the gift of time as we are committed to her long journey.

Grateful to be on this mission with you,

Sharon Wood, Executive Director
